Our History

Our History

Quercus Landscapes, Inc. was founded by Brad Tabke, CLP to provide the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro a Landscape Management provider with unparalleled customer service and a wide breadth of services to meet all your needs.

Quercus Landscapes, Inc. began in a garage on Harvest Lane in Shakopee, Minnesota in 2004 – working hard to take care of our first clients. We began to steadily grow and have been able to expand our breadth of services throughout the years

Our Name

When Quercus Landscapes, Inc. first began, prospective clients-and family member-always asked:“What is Quercus…did I say that right?!?!”

Quercus, pronounced KWAIR-kus, is the horticultural name for Oak.

Brad Tabke, CLP fell in love with Oak trees and particularly Burr Oak-Quercus macrocarpa. They have irregular growth patterns with large branches and a magnificent presence. Beautiful specimens can be found at Grant County Park in Auburn, Iowa, the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa and at Memorial Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
